Hi,

I've already done the above and it made no difference. I think there must be a problem with the registry on my computer or something. I might just go back to using XP pro as at least i could get my e-mails!!

OK, since this is a PST you download to you can try running scanpst to fix any corruption. If that does not resolve it, then remove your profile and create a new one. Open the old pst in the new profile and move the email out of the old one into the new one.

To answer these questions:

I have tried to completely un-install Office, run CCleaner and then re-install completely fresh. Unfortunately this didn't work either.

The server i am logging onto is POP3. No one else has any problems connecting.

The weird thing is that i can get my e-mails fine through windows Mail but not through Outlook. Also, there is no problem sending e-mails through outlook, but there is problems receiveing. I am very confused by all this.

Thanks to everyone who replied/ replies.

PS There is no actual error that comes up it just keeps asking for my login details again and again and again.

I have never had any real success in upgrading an earlier Office install with 2007. I've taken the path of removing the previous version and cleaning the registry prior to an Office 2007 install. It takes much less time than troubleshooting the issues that arive from an upgrade.

Rather than doing all the work listed in the solution above with no guarantee of success, completely remove Office 2007.

Restart.

Clean all references to Office in your registry with your favorite registry cleaner.

Restart.

Install Office 2007.
