problems to install SDM in a 2620XM router

Hi, I tried to install the SDM in my router and pc. In my pc there is not problem, but, when I try to install or connect from my pc always I´ve got the same error:" it is not possible to connect with the router for installing SDM".

The router is an 2620XM

I have configured an IP address in the FA  0/0 (10.0.0.1 255.255.255.0), the http server, (https is not posible to configure due to IOS version) The Fa 0/0 is up. I made the conexion through the console cable. The IOS version is: 12.4 (23).

I am becaming crazy because I am using this router for training and I am totally blocked.

Do check to following things

1) Make sure the cable is ok, check if there are no packet loss.
2) Also check the available memory in your router, does it have enough memory to intall SDM.

Hi, the console cable is ok. I can configure the router using the CLI and I have enough memory in my router.

Do you have access lists on the router which might preclude access?
Can you telnet/ssh to the router to debug the session as you attempt SDM access?

Hi, I don´t have access list configured in the router.
I can not telnet /ssh to the router, when I tried to conect Ii get the same answer from my pc: unaivable to connect with the router. i don´t know if the problem is the ethernet cable because I am not using it: I am coneccted to the router directly with the console cable.
