Problem with roaming profiles in Windows server 2003
Hello I would like to ask a question about a recent problem in a pc belongs to active directory with roamin profile enable. Actually the pc was virus attacked and we formatted it. But after that the profile couldnt log in and we were receiving an error message "Windows did not load your roaming profile and is attempting to log you on with your local profile. Changes to the profile will not be copied to the server when you logoff. Windows did not load your profile because a server copy of the profile folder already exists that does not have the correct security. Either the current user or the Administrator's group must be the owner or the folder. Contact your network administrator." After some tests I found that when I create a roaming profile with copy from another everything is ok but if i attempt to do it manually the error is the same again. The Server is Windows 2003 Server Standard and the client is Windows xp pro. Any help? Thanks in advance

Software/Hardware used:
Windows server 2003, Windows xp pro

Answer Wiki:
Hi, If the server cannot save a user's profile because of incorrect security, this error occurs. If a user cannot be logged on by using a cached profile and is issued a temporary profile, the standard temporary profile message appears after the error message. for further details, refer the article: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/327462 Thank you Anil LEPIDE
