problem using remote console RHES4

Remote access, Redhat Linux, Console errors

Errors when "su -" on remote console:
atkbd.c: Unknown key pressed (translated set 2, code 0x0 on isa0060/serio0).
atkdb.c: Use 'setkeycodes 00 <keycode>' to make it known.

if you call redhat, the us keymap (/lib/kbd/keymaps/i386/qwerty/us.map.gz) has an entry for keycode 12 (the minus sign on a standard keyboard) that looks suspect.
There is an "extra" entry on the line for "backslash"
It just does not look right.
Any ideas how to fix?
