 Printing variable data in different colors using Crystal Reports 8.5

I am trying to print variable data in different colors. Using the formatting parameters in Crystal Reports I am able to display the proper colors on the screen but when I issue a print the report appears black/white only (yes, I am using a color printer!) How can this be resolved?

Answer Wiki:
Make sure that your printer options specify color. I have seen occasions where color gets unselected for some reason. Try checking preferences before printing.
