Hi all :) I have installed a dlink DPR-1040 wireless print server to an HP laserjet via USB in our warehouse. I have set up the printer on a PC and can print to it from windows fine but cannot print from our AS400. Has anyone been through this or similar issues? all help appreciated thanks Tracy

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

According to me this can be resolved by using your AS/400 as a Network Print Server.
Due to the fact it would be quite a long story to have this explained here, I would suggest you have a look at the article from IBM on how to <a href=”http://www-03.ibm.com/systems/i/software/netserver/print/index.html”>Transform Your AS/400 into a Network Print Server with AS/400 NetServer</a>.

Not only for your AS/400 printouts but to control your PC printing as well.
That is, you can use the advantages of the AS/400 print engine like HOLD, SAVE, MOVE to another queue and so forth.

Hi, you need to define a remote OUTQ. The command should be the following: CRTOUTQ OUTQ(QUSRSYS/nameofoutq) RMTSYS(*INTNETADR) RMTPRTQ('PS-xxxxxx-U1') AUTOSTRWTR(1) CNNTYPE(*IP) DESTTYPE(*OTHER) TRANSFORM(*YES) MFRTYPMDL(according to the printer) INTNETADR('ipaddress') DESTOPT('XAIX') where xxxxx are the last 6 char of the MAC Address of the DPR-1040. Please, take a look at this article
