Answer Wiki:
Is the client connected directly to the printer or is it a network printer? You'll have to install the drivers on the client computer to recognize that it can utilize the printer. You should be able to find them on the HP website for a HP75** series. If you are using it as a network printer connected through a server you should be able to map it to \servernameprintername I've also found this link to be extremely useful. It is the IBM System i Supported printers list for different printer manufacturers. http://www-912.ibm.com/s_dir/slkbase.nsf/c5100f8165ec3eb386256c230059fbac/b44a2cf4ba778d83862568250053649f?OpenDocument&Highlight=0,support,for,various,ascii,printers

You may need to create CUSTOMIZING OBJECT for the printer being used AND ASSIGN IT THROUGH the client access session to get the printing the way you need it.

From my experience if you have a “Y” in the Host-Based column and all “N”s in the LPR PJL SNMP IPP columns you’ve bought the wrong printer. You may get it to work to some degree but it will always be a problem.
