i am new to as400 and i want to know about printer files and reports as my company asked me to........

Hi,

You can't create printer files in RPG ILE as such. You can use printer files by defining a file with type PRINTER in your file specifications in ILE RPG.

You create printer files using DDS (Data Description Specifications). There is a tool to help you create printer files called RLU (Report Layout Utility).
