Hi ,
I am giving print from AS400 by printer session on A4 size paper.
The problem is that print starts after 2 lines ,
but i want it from very first line of the page(there sould be no header space)
I have tried SPACEB option with 0 value, but it does doesn't work.
while giving print from windows its taking from very first line but not from AS400.
is there any option to do that...:)
i am using V5r4, i have tried on more then one printers(HP Bussiness inkjet 100, & Lase jet)
Thanks in advance.

Is the printer defined to use A4, or letter sized paper?
Yes , Printer defined to use A4.
Actually we have tried with both sizes(A4 & letter) but the result is same.
What are your margins defined as when you compile the printer file?
i have compiled it on default parameters.
You might want to test some parameters for the top margin, perhaps from 0 up to .5. If all else fails, try flipping it 180 degrees…I’ve had to do that to fix an oddball printer before…and then everything lined up right!
and then everything lined up right!

Are you talking about FRONTMGN,& BACKMGN ?
any ways i have tried flipping but it does not work.
FRONTMGN,& BACKMGN also does not make any difference .
Each printer has built in margins. ON SOME printers you can adjust with:
EDGE to EDGE , Fulll page , whole page , fit to page type settings
via a menu on the printer. You might try to adjust it and see if it helps.
You also have to consider if that type adjustment is made how will it effect other reports. If printer has IPDS card margin adjustments can be made for each tray on the printer.
Any SKIPB or SKIPA entries at the format level?
Yes, those were the options I had in mind. Is the printer set up with the proper MFRTYPMDL from IBM?
Here
Review the Customizing printer information topic in the Information Center for some background. Look at the ‘No-print Border (NOPRTBDR) tag’ sub-topic for one potential direction.
As has been mentioned, printers are often set up with an “unprintable border”. You might need to change the configuration on the printer itself. The user manuals that came with the printer should describe what you might have to do.
