Can you prevent a user sending to specific email address in lotus notes?

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

Just as Kevin has stated – create a mail rule and block to that address.

Remember that you are going to want to have more than one eventually. This means you should create a group for Blocked Recipients and then add this to the rule. This will mean just a group change rather than a New Rule / or Rule change per newly added entry.

If this is for a whole domain such as Hotmail / outlook.com etc then server document is better.

I'm not sure how you might do this in Lotus Notes but I know that, generally speaking, you can create rules to do just about anything inside your email server. You can even do it on the client side or via an email content filtering system or similar gateway.

Writing this method is too long.... here is a link and from where u can get some good knowledge (in details) that u want. This pdf file is based on general and may work for almost all LN. If the mailbox is sending an automated response, then there's code somewhere that is doing that.  If it's some home-grown code, then just add an "if the sender is X, then don't send" bit of language to the routine.  If it's using the out-of-office feature, then that agent has an exclusions section where you could add the address exception.
