 Presenting a data store to Multiple ESX environment
ESX, ESXi, ESXi and Datastores, LUN, vSphere, vSphere 4.0
I have a vSphere 4.0 environment and I have some LUNs from an EMC presented to the hosts in the vShpere environment. I have recently set up another environment with vShpere 4.1 and I would like to know if I can present the same LUNs to the new environment (vSphere 4.1) while they are still presented to the old/existing environment(vShere 4.0).

No, doing so will corrupt the data on the LUNs. You will need to create new LUNs and present those new LUNs to the new cluster. That or shutdown the VMs, and remove the LUNs from the current cluster and present them to the new cluster.
