Hi, A user recently gave me some "corrupt" 2003 .ppt files; these open fine in Office 03, but refuse to open in Office 07. 07 complains saying: "PowerPoint can't open the type of file represented by filename.ppt" Was curious if anyone has a workaround for this, as I've never seen 07 not able to open 03 documents. Have tested the file on several computers and verified that the file is good and readable in 03... Thanks

you could try right clicking the file and selecting properties, then selecting compatabilities, check the options for 2003 or what other windows options may present themselves.
good luck
