We are seeing performance issues with our PB 11 app after SQL 2005 DB was migrated to SQL 2008. We did not change any code just the connection profile. From: [Profile APP]
DBMS = SNC SQL Native Client(OLE DB)
Database=database
UserId=
DatabasePassword=
LogPassword=
ServerName=SQLServerName
LogId=
Lock=
AutoCommit = False
DBParm = "Database='databasename',TrustedConnection=1"
Prompt=0
DBMS=MSS SQL Server 6.0
To
[Profile RMIS]
DBMS=OLE DB
DBParm="PROVIDER='SQLOLEDB',DATASOURCE='SQLSERVERNAME',PBCatalogOwner='dbo',PROVIDERSTRING='Database=databasename',INTEGRATEDSECURITY='SSPI',PBTrimCharColumns='YES'"
Database=databasename
UserId=
DatabasePassword=
LogPassword=
ServerName=SQLServerName
LogId=
Lock=
AutoCommit = False
Prompt=0

Software/Hardware used:
PowerBuilder 11, SQL Server 2008

    We switched to SNC 2005 which improved performance somewhat but are still experiencing database locks.
