I have a Toshiba laptop Satellite P300. While in use the laptop turned right off. Now the only thing that comes on is the battery light a solid orange. Do I need a new battery? I was told the charger was working. Or is there something else wrong with it apart from no power going into it?

Software/Hardware used:
Windows 7

Answer Wiki:
A solid orange light usualy means it's charging.  If the laptop runs out of batteries, the light usually blinks orange or is out completely.  Leave the laptop plugged in for an hour, and if it still doesn't power on, I would change the power charger.
