POST is not displayed on my LCD screen through DVI-I
POST is not displayed on my new LCD screen when its connected through DVI-I and it proceeds straight to the XP boot screen. On VGA either on the new screen or the old CRT POST is displayed normally. While on dual display I get POST on my CRT but not on my LCD. Any way to solve this? My system is INTEL 865 PERL, P4 2.4Ghz, 1.5GB ram, Ati Radeon 9200, Philips (CRT) 17", LG W2252 TQ (LCD) Windows XP Home. Thanks in advance. Alex.

Answer Wiki:
Check and see if there is a setting in your systems CMOS for changing the default monitor port. Methods vary on how to get into the CMOS, but some things to try are to hold the <DEL> key or on Dell systems hit <F2> If you connect a montor to your VGA port, usually your system will display the Key to hit during POST, though the dispaly may only show it for a few seconds. Good Luck! -Flame

This is probably one of those “undocumented features” that you might have to end up calling the motherboard or BIOS manufacturer to get more info on if it’s not in the CMOS configuration.
