OK - Let me clarify what I've got, and what I'm trying to do: I have an old Toshiba Libretto 110CT (sorry, not a Portege). It has the following native ports (ie: non-docking station): IRDA, headphone, speaker and 2xPCMCIA (not PC Card, not Cardbus...); there is no docking station. I have a 3COM MegaHertz 10/100 3CCFE574BT ethernet card and a 3COM MegaHertz 3CXM556 56K Cellular modem. The system has an OS, in that it will boot, but only to a command prompt. I want to install Win98 or Linux (a lightweight distro) as the system supports a max of 64MB RAM.
I know I can create a boot disk with network drivers so I can use a crossover cable to access my notebook (IBM T42) CD-ROM drive to install... There is also a PCMCIA based floppy drive, so booting from a floppy is a big "OK". There is no USB port, or possibility of using a USB PC Card, as there is no OS installed....

Any suggestions? Advise...
