 POP3-connection with Exchange server
hi,
I have a serious problem connecting to Exchange 2010 with pop3(110) and Imap4(143).

it giving me the following error


"Receiving' reported error (0x80042108) : 'Outlook cannot connect to your incoming (POP3) e-mail server. If you continue to receive this message, contact your server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP).'"


but i can able to send mail from that account.


my scenario


i am locally connected in a domain, in Dmz zone we are have TMG 2010

try find out if the POP3 service on the Exchange server is configured for secured connection, because secure POP3 uses a different port.

Wher I’m at, we dont connect to the exchange server via POP3. Double check your settings as Outlook has an option to detect the settings required from the Exchange server. WE recently updated several PC’s and re-added Outlook users to our Mail server by typing in the server name / account name and clicking on the “Check Names” option..

Again, not knowing exaclty how y’all are set up, check with your server/email admin…
