Hi,
Can anyone please guide me. I am a little confused and need suggestions. I have 2.7 years of JAVA experience and I have not gained much knowledge as I should have per my experience. So I'm not confident in programming. I am not willing to continue in programming. I would like to make a career change to the data side. Is Informatica a good choice? However I have inquired about SAP BI too but there is no room for freshers. I think the same situation would be there in case of Informatica too. What should I opt for: Informatica, SAP BI or SAP ABAP (Known ABAP does not need much of JAVA). Please guide me.

ABAP is based on 4th generation language, i.e. developing apps for SAP/R3. R3 or three tire architecture like, database server, application server & presentation server. As ur background is based on java programing, and yes, it does not need much more java/ writing codes too long, u can opt for that. While Informatica is used an etl tool that also extract source data & load into the target. For this u can go for ICA/ Informatica certified administrator which is also suit according to ur background. But, u can consult with ur nearby to take final decision.

As u did not reveal from which country, it is not possible to suggest any good institution right now. But, if u will do must do thru proper institution and always go for Global Certification. Avoid local certs/ local vendors/institution who provides this kind of certs, that has zero value. However, ultimately decision is yours, for more help u can navigate here to get more info:
