The more used Modules is FI-CO, SD, PP, MM.
In regard of your experience, I think that the best way to become Sap Expert is training on Module PP which manage all the manufacturing Warehouse and Needs managements.

The first thing to do is to understand MRP rules and results by reading books about MRP rules.

MRP fonctions are the hart of SAP application.
