placement of a page segment graphic

I'm attempting to replace the graphic in a pre-existing page segment. When using a program such as MS Paint to create the PC-based PSG file, what determines the placement of the graphic within the file? After uploading the PSG file and creating the page segment, I'm finding that the placement of the graphic is not where I'd anticipate it being (e.g. in the upper left corner of the document). It appears instead more towards the middle and further from the top edge than I'd anticipated. The adjustments which can be made within the page segment definition on the iSeries aren't sufficient to place it where I need it. This is the first time we've had to work with AFPDS data. Any pointers would be appreciated. Thanks for your time!

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

Check the value of the Front Margin parameter on the create printer file command.

Here’s a link to a manual page describing how the margins work. Most probably you have the margin value set at *DEVD. I found that causes a margin of about 1 inch to be put around the edge of the page. According to this manual page you have a couple of options for changing that.
