Q:
Personal email privacy when accessing BlackBerry Enterprise Server
I use enterprice email on a blackberry for work. I have configured my BB to check my personal e-mail (POP3), but all messages appear in the default folder. Are the personal account emails going through the enterprise server? How private is my personal email? Can my company see it?

Is your BB connected to a BES server? No mail is stored on the server to my knowledge. But if this is a personal device and you are connected to a BES server be aware they can wipe your device if necessary. Also any policies applied to the device will stay on the device even if the account is deactivated on the server, unless they remember to deactivate the policies before deactivating the account. If the company owns the device you will need to wipe it yourself before turning it in or others will be able to see what is on it. But email received to the BB from a personal account does not get added to or stored on the server, no.

Can my company access my pictures, texts, personal email such as yahoo and gmail through the Blackberry enterprise server?

To take the question one step further, what if the company does not remember to deactivate the policies? I own my blackberry bold and was using it for work. When I left my job two weeks ago the company deactivated my email account, but now I’m unable to remove my bberry from the enterprise server and am having significant issues with the bberry. Any suggestions? I tried removing the IT policy per other forums’ instructions, however, it doesn’t seem to have done the trick. I was able to temporarily restore some of the programs that were being deleted by the bberry, but when I go to the setup wizard to add back my personal email accounts, it only gives me the option to access the blackberry enterprise server.

Any help would be greatly appreciated - thanks!
