I would like to know if there is a white paper explaining the details of performance report generated by iSeries. Example: Time<- if the collection interval is 15secs, what does it mean? Do iSeries perform snapshot or is this data a collected average within 15 secs?

"Snapshot"? Of what? There are many possible performance reports with a lot of different kinds of data. What report are you asking about? What data are you thinking might be from a "snapshot"? What do you think a "snapshot" even is? Tom

I was referring to IBM Performance Tools for iSeries The snapshot I was referring to is the current value of utilizations when collection was collected. In the table below, a performance was collected at 08:01 with CPU Util information, then after 15 seconds at 08:01 another collection was taken. Now I would like to know is the collected data is the current utilization (Snapshot) or the average of the previous and present collection (08:01 and 08:01).                                              Int                                            -Transaction-  -CPU Util--  Feat  --High--  Pool Fault   Excp Date   Time     Count   Rsp  Tot Int Bch  Util  Dsk Unit  Mch Usr ID   Util 08/28  08:01        6   .00   48   0  48     0   -- ----   14 594 02      0 08/28  08:01       11   .09   44   0  44     0   -- ----    7 263 02      0 08/28  08:01        7   .14   49   0  49     0   -- ----   42 784 02      0

I still couldn't tell which report that is. A test shows that it's not one of the reports at all. It's just a portion of the 'Select Time Intervals to Display' display. The help text for the CPU Util columns tells you what the values mean. Review the help text to see if anything needs to be clarified.Tom
