Performance issues and agent managers failure.

Lotus Domino
i'm currently managing a distributed system with nearly 450 domino servers connected to a central domino server. Although each applications on the system are running independantly (cetral domino server will only stored the data of distributed domin servers via replication), each servers are facing slow performance and failure on agent managers. Upon checking, the cpu utilization is not that heavy (during peak period, it will only top up until 55% of cpu utilization). There are times where the server will just hanged or crashed. As for the agent manager, it will not manage the scheduled agents accordingly (agents do not run on time or do not run at all).fyi, we enabled seven agent managers to manage around 80 scheduled and triggered agents.First question is, is there any way or tools for me to troubleshoot the slow performance of the server(other than analyzing the rip file)?Second question is, why can't the agent managers manage all the agents accordingly? Is seven sufficient enough for the agent managers to manage 80-100 triggered and scheduled agents? Is there a specific maintenance exercise that can keep the agent manager "healthy" and well-managed?

1- On the server doc–click on Server tasks– Agent Managers–You can modify these settings to allow for more agents and longer times for the agents to run. I would increase the number to allow for the times and duration.

2- Go to http://www-1.ibm.com/support/ and search for the following doc #1191036, will give you details on how to debug agents.

3- I would recommend keeping an eye on the agent log analysis to find out what errors are causing the agents to stop.

4- Run fixup -F, Updall -R, and compact -C, at a minumum of twice a week.
