When I print a word document as a PDF, sometimes pound signs (##) appear that are not in the original document. Is there anything I can do to ensure this does not happen? Thank you!

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

It usually has to do with font. PDF will not convert Cambria, and will convert type in that font to “#”. Try changing fonts or when you print to Adobe PDF, just UNcheck the box: “Rely on system fonts only; do not use document fonts.”

What are you using to print PDFs? Adobe? PDFCreator? Other? Perhaps uninstall/reinstall or try another program to view/create/print PDFs.

If this PDF created/exported from a Word document, check is there any pound sign in that document. Also sometimes, font type is an important when exporting as PDF.

Like the other have mentioned not all fonts can convert properly. What font is your Word document in currently?  Also are you just trying to print fro Adobe Reader or do you have the full version of Acrobat?

Moreover, if you are using Adobe PDF reader (more popular) you can try to use other one like nitro PDF reader/free expert PDF reader to check if that happens again.

If there is a font you really must need you can buy them through Adobe's site HERE
