My friend got one PDF file and contain some table based data. How can we convert that file to excel format ?

PDF is a format for output and review, not a source format intended for editing. For editing purposes you could use the full Adobe Acrobat, or there are several free editing tools available (although I cannot personally vouch for any of those, have just used the original program when necessary) Here are a couple of sites for freeware if you would like to check them out:

    If Zamzar is not sufficient for your needs, you will need to look at a PDF deconstructor. The one I have been using is about $50 and suits my needs, however, I'd try any before buying them to ensure that your needs are met by the particular program.

    Depending on the volume of data you can use the select tool in Adobe Reader and paste the data into a worksheet. The data will be dropped into one column. Then use the "Text-to-Column feature to parse the data as required.. You may get lucxky and the data will be delimited appropriately. I've done this numerous times with success. Good Luck
