PC printfiles not being deleted from QUEUES on IBM1332 used as 400 and network printers

I have several IBM 1332 printers set up to print from the AS400 and print from PC applications(EXCEL,WORD,etc) for networked users. The 400 printing has priority and then PC applications are released. We are having sporadic problems with the PC generated printing not being deleted until we do it manually. The buffer ocasionally gets full and nothing will print until the old files are deleted. I do not monitor constantly because there seems to be no pattern for the problem. It may happen on 1 or 2, or 3 of 8 printers at the time, only once for all at the same time. 400 printing has only been effected 1 time by this and started back ok as soon as PC files were deleted. We are likely to increase the # of printers used this way but would like to resolve this problem first, if possible. Thanks

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

I have had a similar problem on a Windows Network, where the print jobs would print but had to manually be removed from the queue. The solution was to go to printer properties port tab and uncheck Enable Bidirectional Support. The queue then emptied after the jobs printed. I hope this helps.
