 PC failure when connected to external hard drive
Adding Hard Drive, External hard drive, Hard drive failure, western digital
When 1.5 TB WD external hard drive is connected to the PC, it recognised the device but after 2 minutes the PC goes down and never turns off again

Software/Hardware used:
External Hard Drive 1.5 TB from WD

When you boot the computer back up (without the hard drive connected), go into your Event Viewer and check the System log. What do you see for the time when the computer recognized the drive, through the shutdown? That will give you some idea what you’re looking at, to start.
