past apts in outlook office 2007 vanished

Hi,something mysterious happened to my outllok office 2007: past appointments, with important notes attached to them,have vanished into nothing.What happened and, more crucial,can I retrieve them??? many thanks,

It would be helpful to know how old the appointments were which "vanished". I suspect they have been archived. Check your auto-archive settings for your calendar and if the appts which are missing meet the archiving date criteria then you shoud be able to find the old appts in your archive file. Open your archive file on your folder list and check the calendar there.
