 Password protection for Network folders
Hi there, This is Faisal, I have a domain environment platform Win2003 & XP. I want to protect my share folders with the password, plz let me know is there any option available or you suggest some reliable software to protect my network folders when users get connected over the network. Kudos to you for looking into this - way too many overlook it and don't see it as a security problem but it's one of the biggest. You can setup basic user or group permissions to protect your shares. That's the most common - and simplest - way of doing it. This can be configured at the share level. Let us know if you need more specific information.
