Any suggestions on implementing a procedure that passes an array as output parameter and using this as an input to a second procedure and manipulating it?

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

– 1st create a type for the array’s definition —
CREATE OR REPLACE TYPE typ_array_text IS VARRAY(500) OF VARCHAR2(4000)
/
GRANT EXECUTE ON typ_array_text TO PUBLIC
/

— 2nd declare your functions/procdures to use this type —
— NOTE: this function’s inside a package —
— the type can now be used anywhere a standard Oracle —
— datatype can be used including function’s RETURN type —
FUNCTION fn_name(
i_param1 IN VARCHAR2,
i_param2 IN typ_array_text)
RETURN typ_array_text
IS
v_array typ_array_text := typ_array_text();
BEGIN
………………….. ;
END;
