Difference between synchonous and asynchronous mode in Renesas microcontroller

The most important thing for the difference is that the assyn. communication data rate is predetermined and making transmitter and reciever nodes more complex

How do I switch back to Yahoo mail classic?

I don’t see any way of switching Yahoo web mail formats to previous
versions. The only source for help is probably Yahoo Support. (I’ve never had any success with getting support from Yahoo, so I apparently don’t know a correct contact. I haven’t used Yahoo for anything for a few years because of that, but it might have changed.) — Tom

AS/400

If you run Adobe Acrobat against the files, yes, it should work. There might be native 3rd-party products that can do it; at least one claims a feature that seems similar. I’m not aware of any native capability without additional products. It might exist; I just haven’t seen a mention.

You can create your own if no other solution works. Adobe publishes the PDF Reference that you can download. Topic 3.10 ‘File Specifications’ describes how to embed files in a .PDF file. With some creative programming, you should be able to embed many separate .PDF files in a small “wrapper” .PDF.

What’s your opinion on the remote worker?

I was a bit skeptical to start but I think it can work, as long as the communication is kept up between you and your boss. Learning to improve your communication skills is a good thing. Also, as others have mentioned, we tend to put in more hours and can be more productive when working from home which is a good thing!

Need help writing query-I’m stumped!

Good luck.  In academic experiments credits and debets might have a one-to-one relationship and are for exactly the same amount.  In academic experiments perhaps no two debits or credits for the same person are for the same amount.  Perhaps these rules exist in your database .. but not in any of the real world data that I’ve had to work with.  Of course two credits might tie to one debit or two debits might be paid by one credit. So what would I do .. create another table .. clearing table which contains a column for credit id, debit id and amount.  This table would sometimes have multiple rows for one credit or debit… but you will probably find that some of these relationships will have to be done “by hand”.

Block Crystal Reports from iSeries access

IBM’s WRKFCNUSG to the rescue!  By denying access to function ID  QIBM_DB_ZDA  at the user profile level we can prevent a user from accessing iSeries data using ODBC and JDBC.  This technique provides the security we need without writing an exit point program.
There are quite a few function IDs on the iSeries which allow an administrator to really fine tune access to data.

Need help writing query-I’m stumped!

TomLiotta-There are no invoice numbers associated with these transactions. These are debits and credits hitting a clearing account, and no other detail can be added to this table. There is one field on each record that you are not seeing, and that is date of transaction-though the date would be totally irrelevant to writing this query. This is not an academic exercise-not sure why you would think that. This is a real life work scenario and we are out of options at the moment for reconciling this particular clearing account.
Philp- I am exploring doing some inner joins and see where that may take me. Though, I will ultimately be in the same predicament of not knowing what language/expressions to use when trying to write a query that returns matching or unmatching records.

Thanks

Regional office network

Thank you for your reply Tom.after reading online, this is what i think about implementing management VLAN:I have an address space of 172.16.2.192
/27 for the management VLAN. So first usable IP 172.16.2.193 will be the the routers sub interface I.D. Vlan 100 will be created and called Switch-Managment-LAN and propagated via VTP. then interfrace Vlan100 will be created on all switches. an ip address ranging from 172.16.2.194 – 172.16.2.222 will be given to the interface vlan 100 on each switch. each switch will be assigned a default gateway of 172.16.2.93. Vty 0 4 passwords will be set to allow telnet! ok thats sorted!thanks Tom! a bit of google and some lecture notes from last year has sorted that out!now to give you an idea of my DMZ set up i will post an image on and get back here to post the link. i wish i could post the packet tracer file over too. :-(
