Whenever I boot up Windows 10, the Windows logo pops up but then the screen goes black for several minutes. It finally does load up but why does this screen keep popping up? I can see my mouse on the black screen too.

I have a HP laptop that connects to Wi-Fi through a Broadcom network adapter. I restarted my computer last night and now the Wi-Fi won't turn on. I tried troubleshooting it but it keeps saying to turn on the Wi-Fi. Is my adapter broken?
