• Trying to get rid of “divide by zero” error message using SQL Server 2008

In SQL Server 2008, I keep receiving this error message: Msg 8134, Level 16, State 1, Line 1 Divide by zero error encountered. Now, this is more of a general question but what is the best way to write SQL code so this message will never appear again.

  • How to manage SQL queries on iSeries

We have users who are using SQL to perform queries on our iSeries. As such, we need a way to manage these queries so that, if a runaway, poorly written, etc. causes issues for CPU and/or DASD we can either be notified, end the job, or some other parameter. Is there such an animal? Thanks!
