Sonic Wall is blocking PASV traffic from coming into the FTP server
If you have a Cisco device in the network, use it to examine packets as they pass to determine what port numbers PASV traffic uses. There are ways of doing this with a network card in promiscuous mode but they are a bit close to hacking tools you do not want to tempt anybody with. [...]

Implementing a facility-wide password management?
Require passwords for login. Use a centralized authentication server for account management. Use only hashed password files. Backup the hashed password file in case the original is destroyed. Require complex passwords. Require minimum password age. Set the account to disable after five (or fewer) failed attempts. Either set an automatic unlock after a half hour [...]

Point-to-Point VPN through a NATed ADSL Modem
If you control the NAT, you should be able to configure an outward-facing IP address that connects to the desired internal opposite end node address. You may have to use a port number assignment to differentiate VPN packets, much as a mail exchange (MX) packet can be redirected across a firewall. If your NATted modem [...]

certificate not browsing
Assuming the two computers are configured identically, it is very likely the two computers are handling the certificates differently. This is frequently the case when a previous attempt has been made to access a service without the digital certificate and then with. Not to fret; this happens when caching occurs. The certificates are probably loaded [...]

Fingerprint Programme to attend and go
Create a key generation algorithm so that each subject not yet in the system gets an unique entry. Try not to use any changeable information (name, age, etc.) for your primary key. An additional benefit is that you can archive old data and retain it, which may be helpful if and when you fingerprint a [...]

Giving error “This package is failed the digital signature check” while updating Symantec DAT file.
You need to go to Symantec and read up on this behavior. It sounds a lot like some viruses that specifically targeted updates meant to detect the very virus that potentially infects your system. What you could try is going online to Symantec (if not blocked by the virus) and running their online scanning tool. [...]

url validation testing?
Interesting question in the face of the DNSChanger virus. Infected machines will not be able to access DNS if the FBI disables the pirate servers on 9 July 2012. But to your question, that is why the DNS system is presently being overhauled to include top-down validation. In addition, there are certificate-based HTTPS websites and [...]

<i>Any upgrade would require you to bring the system upto the latest CUM from the IBM Fix central, for v6r1 other PTF’s for ANZOBJCN is required as well. check the site http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/iseries/v6r1m0/index.jsp?topic=/rzahc/rzahcwhatnew.htm</i> The latest cume package <b>is not</b> required. It is, however, strongly recommended prior to any upgrade. Nor are PTFs for ANZOBJCVN required. The [...]

VB6 with too many SQL Select Statements
I don’t currently have a VB6 installation to test, but if I remember well, you can use the recordset’s EOF property to control a loop to read all the rows in the recordset. Something like this: <pre>Call dbConnect SQL = “SELECT Grade, Sum(Currentweight) as GradePR1 FROM Weighroom WHERE (currentdate = DateValue(Now) and Roomno = ’01′) [...]

Cisco W1C card and Bad Frame and CRC errors
Doubtful, considering you replaced it. I would, instead, look for protocol details where there could be a discrepancy. CRC errors are data-related. Thus, they could be due to poor synchronization, noise, or improperly rendered data strings. If there is a timing element (that is, it depends upon the same time at both ends), you may [...]

What is the difference between dedicated data center and Private Cloud? What are the cost savings when opting for Private cloud over a dedicated center
Essentially there is no difference. As far as cost, it all depends on what kind of solution your organization needs. As someone who works with Dell, I would recommend the tool they provide on their site to assess your individual needs and choose the solution that will best fit your organization. <a href=”http://content.dell.com/us/en/enterprise/cloud-computing-strategy-assess.aspx”>Check this out</a> [...]
