Is it necessary to have Deterministic Network Enhancer installed on both machines in a Peer to Peer setup?

I've not heard of Deterministic Network Enhancer, I'm not sure what it does. But I do know that it's not necessary to set up a peer to peer windows network. What you will need are the Client for Microsoft Networks installed, TCP/IP Suite installed, File and Printer Sharing for Microsoft Networks, as well as being in the same Workgroup. Otherwise the machines won't be able to exchange data.
