Exchange Server 2003......user is XP......I have checked my email before and i see all unread emails and read emails so I was thinking so can everyone else. The other day a user comes to me and asked "why can't I read my emails or see my emails when checking from home w/ OWA?". Walked over to a pc here and got user to log into their email using OWA. Sure enough user has no emails.
Why can't this user view their emails when checking from a remote location?

OWA usually works in conjunction with your desktop Outlook and they should show the same information as they sync up when started.
Sounds like the user has confiugred their OWA to display all email in another location. Not the inbox. It’s not uncommon for a user to cause themselves problems, check the rules on their OWA account.
Check the view option on the OWA account make sure messages is selected.
Yeah, if it’s set to only display unread messages, you may not see anything. They’re there, just filtered out!
When I tried opening mails from IE6, no mail was showing up but mails show up in G-chrome and Firefox.
I went to “Tools” menu> Internet Options> Cleared Cookies, files and History in general tab and Cleared forms, passwords through AutoComplete button in Content tab. Then I restarted computer and Web outlook in my IE6 started working normal.
