 OWA set up on Second 2003 Exchange server
Exchange 2003, Exchange administration, Outlook, Outlook Web Access, OWA
Please help.... I have been tring to configure owa access for my users on the 2nd new exchange box for a week and get redirected to the exchnage name instance with a login error .... any assistance would be great.

Do you have a front end server set up?

No I just have a master exchange box and a member exchange box, the 1st box is access the owa just fine, I just dont know what to configure on the second one. I have a isa server in place along with a cisco pix but just walked into the existing setup up.

Hey just a thought, don’t you have to publish owa on the isa server? Have you done that with the second exchange server? I do not use ISA but I do remember reading about publishing OWA to the ISA server. I do not know if you can publish more than one servers’ OWA or not, but if not then the front end/back end scenario would be your best bet.

I believ e Technochic is right the frontend backend is the way to go. I’m pretty sure you can only have OWA on one mail server.

Actually each server has OWA and you can usually get to it by typing the mailserver name.domain name/exchange. However with an ISA server in the mix I know the OWA web page has to be published to the ISA server. With a front end back end scenario, the front end server handles all OWA requests and forwards the user to the appropriate mail server to get to their mailbox.

The other advantage to the front end server is you can out your ssl cert on it instead of on each mail server.

Actually the certificate gets put on both the ISA and CAS server.
