Unread email
When the boss checks his emails, he reads them, they become read, moves them to a folder, and then they appear in that folder as Unread. Is there a setting in Oulook we can check, is it server side, as its the boss, we need to get a good idea and resolution. Cheers in advance

It sounds to me like there is a rule in place that dictates the movements of these e-mails. It also sounds to me like there is a bug in that rule that would cause them to be placed in that folder as unread. I suggest taking another look and the rules running and you’ll probably find the solution. You can find the “Rules” under the “Tool” in the main menu bar. Depending on the version of outlook, it might say “Rules Wizard,” “Rules Manager,” “Rules,” or something similar.

Does this happen for everyone or just the boss? Are you sure they are flagged as read before being moved to the folder? If no rules are defined that might cause this, try looking at under Tools / Options / Other (tab) / Reading pane (button). If the correct options are already enabled, try to disable them and then re-enable to see if it corrects the problem.
