Outlook freezing when sending PDFs

Outlook, Exchange 2007, Outlook 2002, Outlook error messages, PDF attachments

I have a user working with Outlook 2002 SP3, and suddenly his Outlook is freezing when he attempts to send his PDF attachments. As this is a major part of his job, I need to clear this up somehow. The current attachment is 18-20KB, should not be conflicting with anything (SMTP Send Connector, set to default). Whenever he freezes, his Outlook turns into a black screen, needs Task Manager to close the message....which takes down the whole program with it. I cannot find much of anything regarding Outlook 2002 to begin with, nothing like this at all. Any thoughts appreciated, thanks

What Microsoft has to say about this issue.

Hope this helps!

===================================

It may help to uninstall Office and reinstall. You should also try after uninstalling your antivirus. Some antivirus companies are trying to take advantage of Microsoft's DEP and they are causing huge problems with older hardware which don't have hardware support for DEP.

The problem here is actually with sending the messages, not with opening them…. but thanks for posting.
