Outlook Express email ?
I had about 4000 messages in my Outlook Express deleted items folder and finally emptied it.. The deleted folder shoes 0 messages but now program will not allow me to delete any mail from my inbox into the deleted folder. I keep getting the error message 'this item(s) cannot be deleted. An error has occurred.' No error # or anything that might give me a clue as to what direction to move in..
I'm sort of a rookie with this stuff but any ideas would be appreciated.

Not sure which version of outlook Express you are using, but here is something that has worked well for others. Before starting this, make sure to save any items from your Inbox into another folder, if you want to keep them:
If you don't already "show hidden files", you might need to set this up for this procedure. Use the "search" box to look for .dbx, and it gives a path into local settings. In local settings/path/outlook express, right click and delete the inbox.dbx . In your situation I would also delete the deleted.dbx. When you next open OE, a new Inbox will be created - and hopefully that will solve your problem.
