I'm running Terminal Services on a Windows 2003 server. When a few of my users log out of Outlook, they receive the following message. Microsoft Outlook has encountered a problem a needs to close. I have tried updating the office software, and haven't had any luck. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Sounds like a permission error for the temp directory Outlook is using. I have a few questions for you that should help you track down the cause of your issues:

<ol>
What security level are the terminal services users on that machine?
What are you using for your temporary file folder (different for each user?)
When logged in to terminal services can you write to the temp folder?
When you say a few of your users can you be more specific? Are they all on the same OS – same config?
When you say log out of Outlook do you mean log off of exchange or exit the local outlook?
</ol>

    To answer your questions: The security level is Read & Execute, List, and Read. All users have access to the same temp file folder. I can write to the temp folder. There is only 2 or 3 users that I know of that are affected by this issue. Since they are accessing terminal services from home, I doubt that they have the same OS. The error message pops up when they exit Oulook. I hope this helps.
