 Outlook 2007 Error

Good morning all,
I have a user running Outlook and has been doing so for a couple of months.  He recently attempted for the first time to forward a vcard, he got the following error.
" The address book file has been locked by another program, please close the other program and try again later."
I have already checked that the .wab file is not set to read only.  I checked all over Google and come up with Nada.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  
On a side note, I recently connected the users new Blackberry to Sync with Outlook and have been having issues with that as well.  Appearantly his version is out of date and will be updated as soon as he makes it in, I don't thing the two are related just thought I would mention it.

You may be onto something with the blackberry actually. Try closing the activesync out altogether and see if that is the program locking the address book.
