 Outlook Connector in outlook 2003

i'm testing outlook connector on my outlook and i have come up with a problem. When for example i type the @ sign, and send the email to a client or myself the @ sign is shown in different symbols. If i remover outlook connector, it comes back to normal. any ideas?

What do you mean by “Outlook Connector”? Is this an exchange mailbox connected by MAPI or an ISP email account downloading to a pst?
