Outlook 2007 – When replying or forwarding, left arrows appear in sent email

I have a client that has an interesting problem.
Whenever she replies or forwards an email, then sends it, the email is received and only "<<<" (without the quotes) is in the body.
The previous tech thought it was TrendMicro, but I shut TrendMicro off and it's still doing it.
I also deleted all her temp files with no luck.
Any suggestions?

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

Go into Mail Options, and under Replies and Forwards, make sure that “Include original message text” appears next to “When replying to a message,” and “When forwarding a message.” I hope this helps. Craig Herberg

Can you change the delivery options to PLAIN TEXT - not MS PLAIN TEXT and see if this still happens?

The client uses TrendMicro Security for her virus check. Gabe, I will check on that and report back.

I'd try changing settings in the e-mail options, under "on replies and forwards", to see if that makes a difference.
