Outlook 2007: Delegates and Meeting requests
Hello all!

I am a delegate on my boss's calendar. However I send meeting requests for different people.

Whenever I send a meeting request, my bossd is automatically set at the meeting organizer, when that is often not the case. Many times, she has nothing to do with the meetings.

I've tried deleting her as organizer, but the system automically puts her name back. Is there a way to fix this?

MS Outlook 2007

Answer Wiki:
Depends on how you set these up. First, do you really need to be a delegate? Do you set up meetings on her behalf? Do you manage her calendar for her? If the answer to these is no then ask to be removed as a delegate and have her assign you permissions to her calendar instead. If you do in fact need to be her delegate then make sure you have her calendar closed when you set up meetings that have nothing to do with her. You can set her up on her own profile in outlook and open her mailbox that way instead when you need to set up a meeting on her behalf. (Close outlook, go to the control panel, click the mail icon, choose show profiles, select "prompt for profile when opening outlook", close mail icon and control panel, open outlook and when you are prompted for a profile choose "new" and create a profile for your boss). Do not add her mailbox folder to your folder list and make sure her calendar is not open at all when you set up your meetings.
