We run in cached mode. Have a few instances where a mailbox delegate has been removed/deleted yet the responses to meeting requests continue to be routed to the delegates mailbox. This generates an NDR and much confusion for responders. Have checked and double checked the primary mailbox Options to verify that the delegate has indeed been removed.
After some time period (usually a few weeks) the "problem" disappears....ie: meeting responses are no longer being routed to the EXdelegate.
I'm wondering if there is some way to speed up this process and alleviate confusion and calls to the Help Desk.
Thank you....

Its probably due to the fact that you are using cache mode however you could use MDB Viewer utility on the mailbox.
Try deleting the Outlook profiles and recreating them. Do this on the PCs of the delegate(s) and the principal.

Thanks to everyone that responded. The final solution was this:
When removing a delegate the “Send all responses to my delegate” check box can remain checked although seemingly inactive. By adding a name into the delegate space, you can UNcheck that box then remove the decoy delegate name.
This cleared up the ghost delegate.

Yrahimi8888, you need to submit a new question. Your question here does not have anything to do with the discussion on this question.
@Yrahimi
Do you know the right address to your exchange server?
That has been the only solution to a problem like this with outlook.
You may have to get the correct address to your exchange server, assuming your exchange server’s computer name is MY-EXCH and it’s on a domain named MY.DOMAIN.local
Your correct exchange address will be —- MY-EXCH.MY.DOMAIN.LOCAL
try it out. . .it may help. . . .and make sure the user you are setting up with the outlook has a mailbox created on the exchange server. . . .
