You may want to review if their are in "cache" mode which would probably create a big local OST file. Sometimes disabling, cache mode, restart outlook, close outlook, and then delete the local OST file and then re-enable cache mode will speed it back up.

Are these Exchange accounts or ISP pop3 accounts? If Exchange, what version and service pack level? Are the affected users all in the same location? Do the affected userss have other slow networking issues as well? Are there any similarities you can identify between the affected users which is different from other users?

They are Exchange accounts. Running Exchange 2007 SP1. User all in same locale. No other slow networking issues. Interestingly enough, I uninstalled Outlook 2003 SP3 from one user and upgraded that individual to Outlook 2007 and no problems.

Thanks.

Well Outlook 2007 does communicate better with Exchange 2007 than Outlook 2003 does. That’s true. But if other Outlook users in other locations are not experiencing this problem then it’s a real head-scratcher. At least that worked!
