 Outlook 2003 Attachment Security
We currently use Outlook 2003 at Desktop level bu still use Exchange 5.5 at Server end. I need to utalise the Office Resource Kit for the Outlook Security file to demote Level 1 files to the level 2 list. Can I do so by installing the RK to my PC, will it work with our version of Exchange Server? Many thanks,

Answer Wiki:
The RK can be installed on any system and can control the settings on Outlook. However, this might not solve your problem. We performed something similar, but used a logon script to change registry keys to allow certain file extensions in. http://www.slipstick.com/outlook/esecup/getexe.htm Good Luck Andrew

A much easier solution is to install Attachment Options from: http://www.slovaktech.com/attachmentoptions.htm
This will allow you to add and remove allowed extensions at any time.

Here’s another vote for Attachment Options . . .
We’ve bneen using it here since we started installing Outlook XP/2002 at the client end.

Some of the earlier versions were a bit ckunky, but not any more.

Plus, the “minimize to System Tray” option is one I personnaly like . . .
