 Outlook 2003 Problem
Exchange 2000, Windows XP, Email services, Outlook 2003
Hello all, I am just starting to experience a problem with Outlook 2003, the Inbox is not updating, the Outkbox is updating but the last email received on the Inbox is from 1/28/07. This is only happening to machines that have office 2003 installed, I have computer with 2000 and 2007 that are working without a problem, any one have any ideas, oh and working with Exchange 2000.

So you can send and not recieve from the outlook 2003 clients. How are they configured? Are they on the same side as the exchange server or are they behind a firewall? Do you have them authenticating to send email or is it an open relay?

I need more specifics of your setup and what other issues you are having CG to really get down to the nitty gritty.

I would first test if the machines in question can hit the server with a ping, then via telnet on port 25 - do these machines have the windows firewall running? Any new security software?

The are all set up to retrieve the email via Exchange, the problem just started happening, the are able to access their emails if the account is not set up with Cached Exchange Mode, I think that the issue may be related to the ost files, I am working on getting the ISP from the users, they use the computers at home to see if maybe their ISP started blocking something. Also they receive their emails on their Blackberries, set up as IMAP this is what makes me lean more toward it being an Outlook 2003 problem.
