You may find the user needs to be Manager unless you have assigned mail file owners the ability to run personal agents…… (database property)
Then check the server document to makesure they have the correct access to run agents.

It happens sometimes when the OOO profil document is corrupted.
You can delete it (with a short LS program) and create a new one.

I think Editor acces is enough in order to start ou stop the OOO agent

Did you try to define the OOO on Lotus Notes 8 as a service on the “Server Configuration “Document .

His OOO agent already works now however, the notification delivers late, like I sent him a message around 10am then the notification arrived at 4pm.. I tried to define the OOO functionality under miscellaneous control tab in server configuration settings, then again I got no luck since there is no OOO service type define in there, only Looging Level define. Is there any other way?

You have to be running the mail8 template to use the OOO service functionality. Otherwise you can modify the agent on the mail6/7 template so it runs the agent more frequently the default on 6 was 4 hours i think.

Yep, the default for ND7 is every 6 hours but on version 8 it’s immediately.
